In an air-conditioning system, the compressor performs an important role of compressing low-temperature and low-pressure gaseous refrigerant, which has passed through an evaporator, into a high-temperature and high-pressure state and feeding the compressed refrigerant to a condenser.
The compressor is divided into:
(1) An electrically-actuated type and (2) a belt-actuated type according to the actuation source;
(1) a swash plate type, (2) a scroll type, (3) a vane rotary type, and (4) a wobble plate type according to internal actuation modes; and
(1) a fixed amount type and (2) a variable amount type according to the amount of refrigerant to be ejected.
